The AI Research & Development Cell (AIRDC) was established under the visionary leadership of Mr. Phalguni Mookhopadhyay, Hon’ble Chancellor, Brainware University, with the vision of creating a future-ready ecosystem where Artificial Intelligence, research, and innovation converge to address emerging academic, technological, and societal challenges.

His strategic guidance and active involvement have been instrumental in shaping AIRDC as a university-wide platform for AI-enabled research, capacity building, innovation, and technology development.

His emphasis on purposeful application of AI has provided the Cell with a clear institutional direction—to empower the University community with emerging technologies, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, transform ideas into impactful solutions, and strengthen Brainware University’s position at the forefront of responsible and innovation-driven AI adoption.
