National Academic Depository (NAD) logoNational Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India (MHRD) to provide an online storehouse of all academic awards viz. certificates, diplomas, degrees, mark-sheets etc. duly digitised and lodged by academic institutions / boards / eligibility assessment bodies. NAD not only ensures easy access to and retrieval of an academic award but also validates and guarantees its authenticity and safe storage.

DigiLocker logoDigi Locker and NAD are initiatives of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) respectively. The concept of National Academic Depository (NAD) is born out of an initiative by MHRD to provide a 24X7 online depository to Academic institutions to store and publish their academic awards. BWU participated in CDSL NAD depository services on 26.07.2018 by signing Service Level Agreement (SLA).

NAD Cell

The Brainware University NAD Cell composition is as follows:

  2. Convener - Mr. Sankar Ghosh, Assistant Controller of Examinations
  3. Members -

    • Mr. Dipankar Saha, Assistant Controller of Examinations
    • Mr. Nirmalya Mitra, Technical Officer
    • Mr. Joydeep Dutta, Law Officer

Student Guidelines from the NAD Cell:

  • The students of BWU, either currently studying or graduated are required to get themselves registered in NAD through the Student Registration Portal of NAD.
  • The NAD ID obtained after registration has to be used for multiple degrees or higher education of the same student.
  • Students who have already registered themselves in NAD and are having a valid NAD ID, are required to inform the necessary details to the NAD Cell for linking and mapping activity.
