SECCOM 2022: Students got the opportunity to attend intriguing lecture sessions from industry professionals

The Department of Cyber Security and Technology in collaboration with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) of Brainware University and Google Developer Student Club (Brainware Chapter) celebrated 'National Cybersecurity Day' by organising SECCOM 2022. The 2-day event started on November 29, 2022 and continued till November 30, 2022.

A number of eminent speakers were present at the programme to address the students on cyber security. Pierre‐François MAILLARD. Cyber security Engineer from France spoke about the buffer overflow. In addition to that, he highlighted the new technology about the buffer overflow that can change the documents in the server.

Tuhin Ray Chaudhary from PwC discussed how to protect the systems from foreign objects and vulnerabilities. He emphasised phishing attacks in the network and how to protect it. Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyay, Research Scholar, IIT Kharagpur focused on the use of AI-ML in cyber security. Anubhab Singh who is the Co-founder of Dynopii spoke about the protection of the website.

The students highly benefitted from the event where they got to hear from industry professionals. It gave them an overview of the industry and its expectations from prospective professionals.
