A one-day State Level CME on ‘Reducing Artefacts in CT & MRI: Corrective Methods and Best Practices’ was jointly organised by Department of School of Allied Health Sciences and the Indian College of Radiological Technology (ICRT), bringing together industry experts and academic leaders to train the next generation of imaging professionals.

The event featured deep-dive discussions on artifact reduction techniques, diagnostic accuracy, and technological best practices. Distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. Bibartan Saha, MD, FIAMS, Consultant Radiologist and Councillor, Barasat Municipality, emphasized the importance of precision in diagnostic imaging and the evolving role of AI in reducing artefacts while Prof. S. Pannerselvam, Registrar, ICRT and Adjunct Faculty of Medical Physics at SRIHER, Chennai, shared invaluable insights on radiological physics and protocol optimisation.

From advanced protocol setting to clinical workflow optimisation, the day served as a rare knowledge-sharing opportunity for students and professionals alike, equipping them with the corrective methods that shape better diagnosis and better care.
