NPTEL Awareness E-workshop : Brainware University

With digital learning on the rise, NPTEL Local Chapter along with Brainware University has taken the initiative to organize an “NPTEL Awareness E-workshop” on May 19, 2021. Ms. Bhrathi Balaji ( Senior Project Officer of NPTEL, IIT Madras) was the first speaker for this event. She shared her views about various online initiatives and how the industry will give preference to online courses more than the traditional courses in the future.

Balaji made the students aware of various types of NPTEL courses, enrolment process, assignment submission process, examination process, domain certification & the result analysis of different courses. She also informed the students of the various opportunities in the NPTEL domain course as well as internship programs that are introduced recently.

“We believe that online instruction can actually help students to keep up by using online material any time” declared our second speaker, Mr. Shib Sankar Das(Network Engineer at IIT Kharagpur). He explained what NPTEL and Swayam specifically are. The esteemed speaker discussed about different Faculty Support Programmes, Lab Workshops, Internship facilities for NPTEL toppers & Local Chapter Performance in the previous academic years.

The workshop has been very significant as the speakers assured students of future internship & placement assistance for those students who will be toppers in different NPTEL courses.
