A glimpse into the future jobs in Cyber Security

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are now an integral part of cybersecurity. With cyber-attacks becoming more serious, and in some cases endangering human lives, artificial intelligence could be the key to Cyber security.

The Department of Cyber Science & Technology and EC-Council had jointly organized a one- day webinar on the topic named as “Pick the Best: CYBERSECURITY vs ML vs AIas Career Prospects”, on December 12, 2020. The main objective of the webinar was to illustrate the comparative application area and job scopes in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security around the world and in our own country.

The session was graced by the presence of key speaker Mr. M.R. Khan, (SOC Manager at RSA “DELL/EMC”). He began the session with examples on Machine Learning and the types of learning. Then, he proceeded to explain Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

While explaining the global scenario Mr. Khan said, “As our lives become more linked with the digital world, cybersecurity will remain a constant. AI and ML will be some of our strongest allies in the fight”.The ‘new normal’ has increased the job market trends in Cyber Security. The final query session was interactive, where the students, as well as the faculty members of the department of Cyber Science & Technology and other departments got the answers of a number of queries.
