Agriculture webinar on 'Advanced Tips and Tricks for Pre-Harvest Food Chain Hygiene using Eco-friendly Approaches'

On September 24, 2022, the Department of Agriculture organised a webinar on 'Advanced Tips and Tricks for Pre-Harvest Food Chain Hygiene using Eco-friendly Approaches'. Dr. Kapudeep Karmakar, Assistant Professor in Soil Microbiology RRS, Terai Zone, UBKV conducted an engaging session.

Eco-friendly approaches are a necessity at present to maintain food chain hygiene. Dr. Karmakar discussed the major types of food contamination like animal-based food uses, raw plant-based food products, etc. He also discussed asymptomatic carriers, cholecystectomy, economic loss, exopolysaccharides, and the essentiality of biofilm in the Rhizosphere.

Towards the end of the session, the queries of the students were also resolved.
