CSE students gain useful insights on ethical hacking and cyber threats at a workshop on ERP System

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organised a workshop on 'ERP System - BPCS' on 24th August from 1 p.m onwards. Ravishankar Dhawalkar, Technical Lead, Cognizant was the speaker at the session.

The students greatly benefitted from attending the session as they got to know about ethical hacking and cyber threats. The main aim of the workshop was to give provide the young technocrats with a basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.

In this context, the students must know ERP is a type of software system that helps organisations automate and manage core business processes for optimal performance. ERP software coordinates the flow of data between a company’s business processes, providing a single source of truth and streamlining operations across the enterprise. The software is also responsible for linking a company’s financials, supply chain, operations, commerce, reporting, manufacturing, and human resources activities on one platform.

Dr.Shibnath Ghosh, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering was the coordinator of the session. A total number of 34 CSE final year students participated in the workshop.
