Workshop on 'Hospital Operations Management and Quality of Healthcare' discusses the roles and responsibilities of an hospital floor manager

Hospital operations is an emergency sector and the professionals associated with it have to be ever-ready. Dibyendu Bhattacharjee, Manager of Operations, HLG Memorial Hospital, Asansol highlighted the roles and responsibilities in this sector to the BBA HM and MBA HM students at a workshop on 'Hospital Operations Management and Quality of Healthcare'. The event was organised by the Department of Hospital Management on August 16th.

While interacting with the students, Bhattacharjee in a very simple manner shared with them his professional experience - how to explain certain things to the patient, how to conduct patient counselling etc. Basically, a Floor Manager or a Manager of Operations at a hospital acts as the bridge between the hospital authority and the patient party.

The areas that need upgradation were also discussed at the workshop. The students had an enriching experience.
