There is a gap between industry and academics. Brainware University is committed to bridging this gap so that its students can be job-ready when they go out into the professional world to pursue their careers. On August 4, 2022, the Department of Computational Science signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oracle Workforce Development Program. Parag Mitra, Senior Consultant, Oracle, was present at the event.
The signing of the MoU initiated the industry-institute collaboration between the two entities. At the event, Dr. Dipankar Bhttacharyay, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Brainware University; Dr. Suman Majumder, Director of Projects, Brainware University; Dr. Soumen Saha, Deputy Senior Registrar, Brainware University; Dr. Sandip Roy, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Computational Science and other faculty members of the Computational Science department were also present.
Parag Mitra interacted with the BCA 3rd year students at the event. He said, "The landscape of education in India has changed and we have to accustom ourselves to this change as it is inevitable."
Mitra pointed out that this MoU will usher in an exchange of ideas so that something better comes out of it. The collaboration will benefit the students of the university as they will gain access to the trending technologies of Oracle. This initiative of the university will help the students to emerge as skilled professionals in their jobs and build successful careers.
