Maximizing Global Innovation
Innovation has evolved over the past few decades. To make the students understand the importance of innovation with intellectual property, Institute Innovation Council in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Brainware University arranged a workshop on “Innovation & Intellectual Property Right” on November 13, 2021 from 3 PM. Ramesh Chandra Panda (Chief Scientist, Wegrow Private Limited) was the guest speaker of this event.
Panda discussed innovation and intellectual property rights. He addressed several fields of innovation with intellectual property rights like IoT, Machine Learning etc. The speaker explained the process of filing patents not only in India but also in foreign countries like Australia, Canada, South Africa, and Germany and so on.
The speaker motivated students to write articles in journals with several categories of patents like utility, design and so on. He demonstrated writing of patents by showing his own patents. The speaker is interested in MoU with Brainware University and we grow Pvt. Ltd, Bhubaneswar, Odisha with research, innovation, patents, placement and internship.
The workshop ended with a Q&A session where the guest answered questions from the students and guided them. The entire session proved to be very motivational and fruitful for all the students as most of them got their concepts cleared about intellectual property rights.
