Master Your Emotion

How often do we pause to truly understand our emotional responses? How do we remain composed when everything around us feels overwhelming? These were the guiding questions of the emotionally empowering workshop ‘Master Your Emotion: The Power of Staying Calm’, organised by the Student Service Centre (SSC) in collaboration with the Institute of Nursing, Brainware University.
The workshop was conducted by Binati Mondal, our in-house Student Counsellor, who shared actionable insights on self-regulation, emotional literacy, and stress resilience with final-year B.Sc and GNM students. From breathwork and mindfulness to understanding the cognitive triggers of stress, the session blended theory with practice, preparing students for the emotional rigour of clinical and caregiving environments. Students actively participated in the Q&A segment, reflecting on personal triggers, burnout symptoms, and how calmness can become a learned, daily discipline in high-pressure healthcare settings.
This workshop forms part of Brainware’s ongoing initiative to promote mental wellness, emotional competence, and holistic education across all disciplines.
