Learning Law Beyond Classrooms!

Law students from Brainware University, guided by a faculty member, got a first-hand look at the 3rd National Lok Adalat held at Barasat District Court. Organised by the DLSA, North 24 Parganas, the session exposed our budding legal minds to how disputes are resolved outside traditional courtrooms - faster, cost-effective, and people-friendly.

From motor vehicle claims to family disputes and pre-litigation bank matters, the students witnessed the power of mutual settlement in ensuring justice without long trials. The experience not only deepened their practical legal knowledge but also highlighted the importance of alternative dispute resolution in making justice accessible, especially to the weaker sections of society.
