The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with The Combat Gym, organized an experiential learning programme titled “Sports Physiotherapy at Kickboxing Championship” on August 30–31, 2025, at the Jadavpur University Complex, Kolkata.

Coordinated by Dr. Gaijilung Dangmei (PT), the event offered students hands-on exposure to the application of sports physiotherapy in real-time athletic settings. Participants provided medical and rehabilitative assistance to athletes competing in the kickboxing championship, gaining valuable practical insights into injury prevention, on-field treatment, and athlete care.

The initiative successfully bridged classroom learning with professional sports environments, enhancing students’ clinical competencies and understanding of sports medicine practices.
