Entrepreneurship to Increase Employability Index: Continuous Learning and Upskilling

Brief Description of the Event:

On August 19, 2023, the Department of Computational Sciences (CSS), in collaboration with IIC at Brainware University, organized a seminar titled “Entrepreneurship to Enhance Employability: Continuous Learning and Upskilling.”

Mr. Rohit Khanna, Assistant Editor at The Times of India, delivered the keynote, emphasizing that entrepreneurship is not limited to business creation—it involves innovation, initiative, adaptability, and self-leadership, all crucial for thriving in today’s fast-changing job market. He encouraged students to adopt an entrepreneurial approach to career development by constantly learning, identifying opportunities, and creating value in any field.

Interactive sessions—including brainstorming exercises, role-plays, pitch competitions, and personal upskilling plans—helped students cultivate creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication. A resource-sharing segment and open Q&A further enriched the session.

Coordinated by Ms. Moumita Sarkar and supported by Mr. Debarshi Bandyopadhyay and faculty, the seminar underscored the role of entrepreneurial thinking and lifelong learning in building employability and professional resilience.
