Nursing students take part in Community Health and Wellness Fair

On December 24, the students from Institute of Nursing of Brainware University took part in a “Community Health and Wellness Fair” at Ramkrishnapur Youngstar Club. The goal of the event was to raise awareness regarding healthcare among the masses, as well as provide them with basic health check-ups.

A batch of 84 students conducted the health check-up and demonstrations of several necessary healthcare protocols. Essential demonstrations of first-aid management for dog bites, poisoning, and choking were made, among others. Alongside the public, the students also benefitted from the hands-on application of theoretical knowledge they had received in the classroom. The event not only raised awareness among the public regarding the necessity of basic healthcare, but also promoted a spirit of teamwork among the participating students!
