From Campus to Global Career: A Seminar with IBM Technocrat

How does a B.Tech degree translate into a global tech career? In a power-packed seminar, organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, titled ‘From Campus to Global Career’, students of Computer Science and Engineering explored this very transition through the firsthand experiences of Dewasish Pramanik, Software Developer at IBM.

Pramanik offered valuable insights into navigating the transition from academic projects to enterprise-grade codebases, leveraging GitHub, LinkedIn, open-source contributions, and internships while also emphasising the real-time application of coding skills in cloud computing, DevOps, and AI. He also highlighted several tips and tricks for global tech interviews and developing a problem-solving mindset for scalable software solutions.

The seminar bridged theory and real-world practice, sparking enthusiasm and clarity among budding engineers on how to build a global career from a local campus - with the right technical foundation, attitude, and adaptability.
