The Department of Biotechnology organised an outreach activity on 'Nurturing Wellness: The Preparation and Health Benefits of Probiotics' at Faldi High School on September 9, 2023. This outreach programme aimed to encourage the participants in making more informed dietary choices by actively seeking out and incorporating probiotic-rich foods into their meals. Furthermore, the identification of various sources of probiotics, such as yogurt, kefir, fermented vegetables, and kombucha were discussed with the school students.
This programme is not just an educational event, it is a catalyst for healthier communities and a brighter, more sustainable future in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
