Biotech Outreach Programme

The Department of Biotechnology at Brainware University organized a meaningful outreach program to the Lokmata Rani Rashmoni Mission, Kultoli, Jaynagar, South 24 Parganas.

A team of 17 students, guided by Dr. Sambit Datta and Dr. Arjun Ghosh, explored the intricate relationship between the Sundarban mangroves and human habitat. Through engaging sessions at the Sundarban Education Centre (SEC), students gained insights into the biodiversity, climate challenges, and conservation efforts, including tales of the Royal Bengal Tiger and the revered guardian spirit, Bonbibi.

The visit deepened our understanding of this fragile ecosystem and the urgent need for sustainable practices.
