The Department of Hospital Management, in collaboration with IQAC and GSC, successfully organised an enlightening session titled ‘Beyond Biology: Understanding Gender as a Social Construct’.

The session featured Dr. Moutan Roy, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Haldia Government College, who offered deep insights into how gender identity is shaped by social, cultural, and psychological influences rather than biology alone.

The event inspired participants to question stereotypes, embrace diversity, and foster respect for all identities — reinforcing Brainware University’s commitment to creating a more inclusive academic environment.
