With this, Dr. Anuttama Banerjee, Consulting Psychologist, set the tone for a deeply insightful and emotionally resonant seminar on ‘Unreciprocated Love: Understanding, Healing & Growing,’ organised by the Student Service Centre (Counselling Cell) in collaboration with IQAC, Brainware University.

Throughout the session, Dr. Banerjee gently challenged the audience to rethink love as a personal journey with a handful of questions: How do you define love? What makes you fall in love? What makes you feel loved? And what happens emotionally when we reject someone — or are rejected ourselves?

Dr. Banerjee emphasised the importance of clear communication and setting emotional boundaries, urging participants to see rejection not as failure but as a chance for self-understanding. Healing, she noted, isn’t about rushing ahead, but about taking the time to grieve, reflect, and grow with dignity. The event was a powerful reminder that love isn’t just about being chosen; but about choosing wisely, communicating clearly, and healing consciously.
