That’s the challenge Dr. Asim Biswas, School of Environmental Sciences, University of Guelph, Canada, tackled during ‘FarmTech Chronicles: A Lecture Series’, hosted by the Department of Agriculture, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).

With population growth stressing soil’s carrying capacity, erratic weather causing rising seas and salinisation, and food security hanging in the balance, Dr. Biswas shared insights on soil management. From Canada’s 10-year soil strategy to the game-changing Digital Soil Mapping, it was all about harnessing data to make soil sustainable and future-ready!
