The Department of Agriculture at Brainware University hosted a thought-provoking session on ‘Prospects of Freshers in the Indian Seed Industry’ featuring Dr. Shubhrajyoti Saha, Junior Breeder (Gourds) & Station Manager, Indo American Hybrid Seeds (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. Saha highlighted how the Indian seed industry is emerging as a sunrise sector, offering tremendous scope for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. From developing high-yielding hybrids to contributing towards food security and sustainability, he shed light on the skills freshers need to thrive in this dynamic field.

Students had the opportunity to interact directly with him, gaining insights into the career pathways, challenges, and future growth of the seed sector. The lecture not only broadened their understanding of agribusiness opportunities but also inspired them to align their academic learnings with industry needs.

An enriching session that left our budding agriculturists motivated to explore new frontiers in seed science and technology.
