The Mechanical Engineering department of Brainware University and Brainware Group of Institutions collaboratively organised a workshop on "Land up to a Correct Job after Four Years". The objective of this event was to provide an all-encompassing awareness about future job prospective besides encouraging the drooping morale of the students amidst the pandemic. It was arranged on May 3, 2021 over Google Meet. The guest of honour, Mr. Malhar Chakraborty, alumnus of ME-BGI, currently working at AMAZON (INDIA) Ltd., was invited to grace the occasion. The session was attended by numerous students from various departments.

After being introduced to the audience, Mr. Chakraborty commenced his session with anecdotes and reminiscences from the past. Advising the students on how to get a job he said, “Be clear on what you want, why you want it and what qualifies you. Without clarity from the very start, virtually every stage that follows will be flimsy.”

To the freshers, he suggested, “The best learning comes from the actual interview. Even if you don’t get to the next round, you now have live experience. Revisit your interview, study what your body language was, re-answer the interviewer’s questions, and refine your resume.”

Thereafter, the speaker showed some tricks and tips of selecting a company which can be suitable for individuals and how to prepare for the same. This was followed by a lively interaction between the participants and the guest. The workshop concluded with a vote a thanks from the organisers of the ME department.
