Curving the uniqueness of oneself: CS professor conducts an intriguing calligraphy workshop

National Energy Conservation Day

“Calligraphy is the most intimate, private, and spontaneous expressive means. Like a fingerprint or voice, it is unique with every person.” - German Zapf.

To bring out the uniqueness in every person, the university organised a 'Workshop on Calligraphy' for the 1st year students. Souvik Mitra, Assistant Professor, Department of Computational Science, this time stepped into a completely different role and intrigued the students in this conventional art form. The event took place in the Seminar Hall of the university on December 17, 2022.

"Calligraphy enticed me because I am an old schoolgirl. Pretty letters, pretty handwritings do stand out," said a 1st year student who participated in the workshop.
