College admission 2022: Annual tech fest to prospective start-ups – What Brainware offers?
TEXIBITION 2022! The annual tech fest of Brainware University took place for two days where the participants got to showcase their innovation and talents in the field of technology. The fest was organised by the Tech Club in collaboration with Institution Innovation Council (IIC). Euphoria GenX was the sponsor for the event.
The annual tech fest of Brainware University consisted of four competitions. These include:
1) The Architect (Prototype competition)
2) The Legends (Gaming competition)
3) The Bluster (Coding competition)
4) Illusion (Digital art competition)
Eminent personalities were present at the inauguation of the tech fest. They include Debashish De, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT); Dr. Surajit Bose, Consultant Dental Surgeon and Dr. Shetty, BDS, MDS, Fellowship in Forensic Odontology.

During the event, Dr. Biswas informed the students that the IIC cell is supporting patents at very low cost. One can file a patent through the IIC cell.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has introduced ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC) that aims at fostering the culture of innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary job of the MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes during their informative years.
Texibition 2022: Innovations towards a ‘smart’ future
At the prototype competition of Texibition 2022, the participating teams showcased a number of innovative models. These creations by the young minds show that we are moving towards a ‘smart’ future. There were also teams from other colleges including Techno India.
From AR+VR+IoT device, portable laminar air flow, semi-automatic device for routine examination of urine by dipstick method to smart dustbin and smart garden – the inventions put forward by the various teams reflect the innovative minds of the younger generation.
College admission 2022: Start-up opportunities for students
Brainware University also provides the opportunity to the students to begin with their start-ups. In this context, it must be noted that the Brainware University Business Incubation Cell (BWU-BIC) is supported by the MSME, Government of India in order to boost the innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem in new India.
The BWU-BIC was introduced to create awareness among the students about the steps involved in developing an idea into a business opportunity which can help in the growth and development of the community.
Currently, Brainware University has 27 patents under its name. The faculty members from the different departments have published 280 journals, 44 book chapters and 6 books.
Texibition 2022: Heaven for the tech experts
Now, coming back to the annual tech fest of the university, Texibition 2022, apart from the prototype exhibition, the tech enthusiasts showcased their talents in the gaming, coding and digital art competitions as well.
The gamers had their heaven as they were pumped up for the shooting action – Valorant. There were also groups who were set in their battlegrounds for the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) on their mobile phones.
‘Code Golf‘ and ‘Capture the Flag‘ were the programming competitions where the students had to use the programming language.
The perfect blend of art and technology was witnessed at the ‘Illusion’ event where the imaginations of the students got their shapes on the digital canvas.
At Brainware University, the students get the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills not only from classroom teaching but from the various extracurricular activities and programmes that take place in the campus. These activities allow them to pursue their passion and script their own success story.
