What happens when Gen Z meets AI and culture finds a new rhythm?
It started with a question:
Can technology help a generation rediscover its roots?
At Brainware University, in collaboration with the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, that question came alive at ‘Gen Z & AI: Young India Rising’.
The campus became a meeting point of two worlds.
On one side was Gen Z – curious, expressive, experimental and ready to challenge the conventional.
On the other was AI – reshaping the way we learn, create, communicate and imagine what comes next.
And somewhere in between, culture found its voice.
Students from Brainware University took the stage with a vibrant mix of performances, bringing together music, dance, storytelling, creativity and technology. Their performances showed that embracing the future doesn’t mean leaving the past behind – it can mean discovering new ways to carry it forward.
Adding a powerful musical dimension to the evening was Mriganabhi Chattopadhyay, renowned percussionist from Dohar, whose performance brought the timeless energy of Indian musical traditions to a generation growing up in the age of algorithms and AI.
It was more than an event.
It was a conversation between tradition and technology.
Between human creativity and artificial intelligence.
Between where India comes from and where Young India is going.
Because AI may shape the future.
But Gen Z will decide what that future feels like.
And if the energy at Young India Rising was anything to go by, the future has a rhythm of its own.
