Vision Care Connect – Free Eye Checkup Camp, organised by AHS, BWU in collaboration
with Billion Hearts Beating and Apollo Foundation at Maher Foundation, Jhwat on 7th February 2026, successfully strengthened community eye health services by making quality vision care accessible to the rural population. Through early detection, timely guidance, and appropriate referrals, the camp contributed to reducing avoidable visual impairment and promoting preventive healthcare practices. The initiative not only enhanced awareness about eye health but also reinforced the importance of regular screenings in improving overall well-being. By ensuring inclusive and equitable access to essential health services, the programme effectively aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), fostering healthier lives and supporting the vision of universal health coverage at the grassroots.
