Students Appreciation Programme Agriculture 17/09/2026
The Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with IQAC and the Institution’s Innovation Council, organised the Student Appreciation Programme on 17 September 2026 at the Vidyasagar Bhavan Auditorium (UB-II) under the theme “Beyond the Campus, Beyond Boundaries: Celebrating the Spirit of Agricultural Research.” The programme engaged 200 B.Sc. (Honours) Agriculture students and aimed to recognise outstanding achievements in agricultural research and co-curricular activities, encourage peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and inspire students towards innovation, sustainability, and academic excellence. The event featured interactive knowledge-sharing sessions and the felicitation of M.Sc. Agronomy student achievers Mr. Sumit Mahanto and Mr. Bikram Jana, who shared their experiences in field research and academic development.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to engage in academic dialogue and gain inspiration from student researchers. It supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting research literacy and academic excellence, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by strengthening practical and research capabilities, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through institutional collaboration. Overall, the initiative highlighted the potential of student-led agricultural innovation and reinforced Brainware University’s commitment to developing skilled, research-oriented professionals committed to advancing sustainable agriculture.
