Seminar on Union Budget 2026-Implications for Personal Investment and Wealth Creation Commerce with Institution’s Innovation Council & Internal Quality Assurance Cell 10-04-2026


Introduction: The seminar titled “Union Budget 2026: Implications for Personal Investment and Wealth Creation” was organized by the Department of Commerce in collaboration with Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and association with IQAC of Brainware University, on 10th April 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Seminar Hall, Prafulla Bhavan. The primary aim of the seminar was to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the Union Budget 2026 and its impact on personal finance, taxation, and investment decisions. The session was conducted by the esteemed resource person, Mr. Somraj Dutta, a Financial Advisory Expert, Multi-Asset Trader, and SEBI Registered Investment Advisor. His vast industry experience and practical insights significantly enriched the learning experience of the participants. The seminar offered a comprehensive platform for students to connect theoretical financial knowledge with real-world economic policies and investment strategies.
The seminar was organized with the following objectives:

  • To understand the key highlights of the Union Budget 2026, The seminar aimed to provide a detailed overview of
    major policy announcements, taxation reforms, and fiscal measures introduced in the Union Budget.
  • To analyse the impact on personal investment decisions, Participants were guided on how budgetary changes
    influence financial planning, including investments in equity, mutual funds, and fixed income instruments.
