The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Brainware University, organised the seminar “Intelligent Wealth Management: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Smart Financial Solutions” on 26th August 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Vivekananda Bhavan, Nursing Building, Room No. 202, for students of B.Com and M.Com. The programme featured Mr. Somraj Dutta, Faculty, American Academy of Financial Management, who shared valuable insights into the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in finance and wealth management. The session explored AI-driven applications in investment decision-making, portfolio management, financial analysis, risk assessment, and personalised financial services, while highlighting how AI can analyse financial data, identify market trends, support forecasting, and facilitate data-driven decision-making. Students also gained an understanding of emerging opportunities and challenges in AI-driven financial services and the growing importance of skills in Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, data analytics, and digital finance. Through expert insights and interactive discussions, the seminar successfully connected academic learning with contemporary industry practices, enhanced students’ technological and analytical awareness, and contributed to their future readiness and employability in the evolving financial sector. The programme also supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by promoting contemporary knowledge, practical learning, technological awareness, and future-oriented skill development.
