See Well: Free Eye checkup Camp Allied Health Sciences, with Billion Hearts Beating, Apollo Foundation 28-01-2026


The Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS), Brainware University (BWU), in collaboration with Billion Hearts Beating and Apollo Foundation, successfully organized “SEE WELL: Free Eye Checkup Camp” on 28th January 2026 at Amar Bari – Senior Citizen Home, Village & P.O. Digambarpur, P.S. Dholahat, Block PatharpratimaSouth 24 Parganas, West Bengal – 743339.

The camp was dedicated to promoting eye health and visual well-being among senior citizens, with a focus on early detection and prevention of avoidable visual impairment. Free eye examinations, vision screening, and personalized counseling were provided to the residents, helping them better understand and manage age-related eye conditions.

The program witnessed active participation from the third-year students of the Optometry Program, Allied Health Sciences, who gained valuable hands-on clinical experience and community exposure while serving society under professional guidance. Their involvement highlighted the integration of academic learning with meaningful social responsibility.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, the SEE WELL initiative emphasized the importance of accessible, inclusive, and preventive healthcare for all, especially the elderly and underserved sections of society. Through this outreach effort, Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, reaffirmed its commitment to community service, health awareness, and improving quality of life, contributing toward a healthier and more inclusive future for all.
