Brainware University, through the Department of Hospital Management in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized MEDSTART INDIA – Innovation & Entrepreneurship Challenge in Hospital and Healthcare Systems. The initiative was designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and a startup-oriented mindset among students in the field of hospital and healthcare management. The programme encouraged participants to identify real-world challenges within healthcare systems and develop innovative, feasible, and technology-driven solutions aimed at improving healthcare service delivery, efficiency, accessibility, and quality. It also provided students with opportunities for experiential learning, exposure to the innovation ecosystem, and interaction with academic and professional experts, while promoting sustainable and solution-oriented approaches to healthcare development.
The programme further strengthened students’ understanding of healthcare entrepreneurship and startup development through a structured challenge-based platform. Participants were encouraged to develop critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while designing innovative healthcare solutions and presenting their concepts. The initiative provided practical exposure to idea pitching, healthcare business models, and the startup ecosystem, thereby helping students connect academic knowledge with real-world healthcare challenges. Overall, MEDSTART INDIA contributed to nurturing an entrepreneurial and innovation-driven mindset among students and encouraged them to explore sustainable, technology-enabled solutions for the future of healthcare.
