One-day entrepreneurship and innovation competition Management Institutions Innovation Council 13.08.2026
The Department of Management, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organised “Innovision: Innovation, Pitch & Start-up Awards”, a one-day entrepreneurship and innovation competition, on 13 August 2026 at Seminar Room 202, Nursing Building, Brainware University. The event provided 85 BBA students with a platform to demonstrate their entrepreneurial ideas, innovative thinking, business acumen, and start-up potential. The programme was graced by Mr. Pradip Kumar Das, MSME Official, Kolkata, and focused on encouraging students to identify real-world problems, develop innovative solutions, formulate business models, and pitch their ideas before the guest and evaluators. Through the pitching activity and interaction with the MSME official, students gained practical exposure to opportunity identification, market understanding, problem-solving, business planning, start-up development, and the MSME ecosystem. Promising innovative and entrepreneurial ideas were recognised through awards, motivating students to further develop their concepts into viable ventures. Overall, the event promoted creativity, innovation, entrepreneurial confidence, and industry-oriented thinking while providing students with valuable experiential learning aligned with the university’s commitment to SDG 9.
