Industry Visit to Anandabazar Patrika Office Media Science and Journalism 29-07-2026
Some classrooms don’t have blackboards – they have bustling newsrooms.
As the doors of the Anandabazar Patrika Office opened, our B.Sc. Media Science & Journalism students stepped into a world where every headline begins with curiosity, responsibility, and the courage to tell the truth.
The experience became even more inspiring as they interacted with Ishani Dutta Ray, Editor of Anandabazar Patrika, and Devdan Mitra, Editor of The Telegraph. Beyond discussing journalism, they shared the values that define great storytellers—asking the right questions, verifying every fact, embracing ethics, and understanding the immense responsibility of shaping public opinion.
For our students, this wasn’t just an office visit. It was a glimpse into the heartbeat of one of India’s most respected news organizations, where ideas transform into stories that inform millions every day.
Because the future of journalism isn’t built only in classrooms.
It is shaped by learning from the people who write history – one headline at a time.
Inside the newsroom. Beyond the classroom. Preparing tomorrow’s journalists today.
