Industrial Visit to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT 14-09-2026
The Department of Hospital Management organised an Industry Visit to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) on 14 September 2026 for the BBAHM 2026 Batch – 1st Year students. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to hospital infrastructure, healthcare operations, patient-care services, and administrative functions while bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world hospital practices. Students observed the hospital environment and infrastructure, explored various departments and service areas, and gained insights into patient-care processes and interdepartmental coordination. They also interacted with hospital personnel to understand day-to-day hospital operations and management practices.
The visit provided students with valuable firsthand exposure to hospital functioning and helped them connect classroom knowledge with practical healthcare management. It enhanced their understanding of hospital operations, teamwork, communication, and patient-centred care while strengthening their professional knowledge and career orientation. The programme supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) through experiential learning and contributed to awareness of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
