Hospital Visit at Galaxy Hospitals, Barrackpore Hospital Management 10-09-2026
The Department of Hospital Management organised an Industry Visit to Galaxy Hospital, Barrackpore on 10 September 2026 for the BBAHM 1st Year students. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to hospital infrastructure, healthcare operations, patient-care services, and administrative functions while bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world practices. Students observed the functioning of various hospital departments and service areas, explored patient-care processes, and interacted with hospital personnel to understand day-to-day operations and management practices.
The visit enhanced students’ understanding of hospital workflows, interdepartmental coordination, communication, teamwork, and patient-centred care. It provided valuable experiential learning and helped students connect theoretical concepts with practical healthcare management practices, while strengthening their professional knowledge and career orientation in hospital management. The programme also supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) through experiential learning and contributed to awareness of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
