Healthcare Startup Finance Connect: From Idea to Angel & VC Investment Readiness Hospital Management Institution Innovation Council 22.08.2026
The Department of Hospital Management, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organised the hybrid entrepreneurship and innovation event “Healthcare Startup Finance Connect: From Idea to Angel & VC Investment Readiness” to provide BBA and MBA in Hospital Management students with practical exposure to the healthcare startup ecosystem. The programme focused on helping students understand how healthcare challenges and innovative ideas can be transformed into viable, scalable, sustainable, and investment-ready ventures, with emphasis on Angel Investment, Venture Capital, startup finance, business models, financial viability, valuation, and investor-ready pitching. The session featured a detailed presentation on healthcare entrepreneurship and startup funding, followed by a case study discussion, interactive exchanges, and a Q&A session that enabled participants to explore investment readiness, scalability, revenue models, valuation, and investor expectations. Students were also encouraged to explore emerging opportunities in areas such as Digital Health, Healthcare AI, Diagnostics, Home Healthcare, Medical Devices, Preventive Healthcare, Patient Experience, and Healthcare Logistics. The event strengthened students’ entrepreneurial mindset, innovation and pitching capabilities while promoting experiential learning and industry–academia engagement, and contributed to SDG 3, SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 9, and SDG 17 by fostering healthcare innovation, quality education, entrepreneurship, employability, and collaborative partnerships.
