The Campus-Level Online Coding Assessment – IBM National Hackathon 2026 was organized by the AI and Tech Club, CSE, CSE-AI, and IIC in collaboration with the IBM SkillsBuild Program on 4 August 2026 at Brainware University. The assessment served as a qualifying round for the National Hackathon Grand Finale and provided 3rd and 4th-year engineering students with an opportunity to demonstrate their programming, algorithmic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities through an online coding assessment conducted on the HackerRank platform under IBM supervision. The initiative aimed to expose students to industry-oriented coding standards, identify promising technical talent, and encourage professional skill development through competitive programming.
The assessment featured an IBM-supervised online coding evaluation, technical guidance from industry experts, and screening of participants for selection to the National Hackathon Grand Finale in Coimbatore. Students solved competitive programming challenges in a monitored environment designed to simulate professional and national-level coding competitions. The programme successfully strengthened students’ technical capabilities, logical reasoning, and confidence in tackling real-world coding challenges. The collaboration with IBM SkillsBuild further enhanced the industry-academia interface and reinforced Brainware University’s commitment to fostering innovation, technical excellence, and career readiness among its students.
