Free Health Checkup Camp Allied Health Sciences IRCS & Billion Hearts Beating, Apollo Foundation 15-07-2026
The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and Billion Hearts Beating, organised an outreach health camp to promote preventive healthcare and health awareness among the community. Aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), the camp focused on basic health screening, health education, and early identification of common health concerns. The programme began with participant registration and demographic data collection, followed by general health assessments including measurement of height, weight, BMI, pulse rate, blood pressure, and other vital parameters. Community members were also provided with guidance on healthy lifestyle practices, personal hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, along with referrals for further medical consultation wherever required. The initiative provided Allied Health Sciences students with valuable hands-on community exposure under faculty supervision while strengthening the university’s commitment to community engagement and preventive healthcare. The camp was conducted successfully with active participation from faculty members, student volunteers, collaborating organisations, and community members, who appreciated the initiative and engaged enthusiastically throughout the programme.
