Free Health Checkup Camp Allied Health Sciences The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) 03.07.2026
The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), organized a School Outreach Health Camp aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and creating health awareness among school students. Aligned with SDG Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education), the initiative focused on providing basic health screening, health education, and early identification of common health concerns among children and adolescents. The programme emphasized preventive healthcare, healthy lifestyle practices, personal hygiene, nutrition, posture, and disease prevention, while also providing Allied Health Sciences students with valuable hands-on community exposure under faculty supervision.
The camp commenced with participant registration and demographic data collection, followed by systematic health screening conducted by faculty members and students of the Department of Allied Health Sciences. The activities included health education and awareness sessions, general health assessment through measurement of height, weight, BMI, pulse rate, blood pressure, and other basic vital parameters. Physiotherapy assessment was also conducted, including posture evaluation, musculoskeletal screening, and ergonomic advice. Students requiring further medical evaluation were referred to appropriate healthcare facilities. The programme was conducted efficiently with active participation from faculty members, student volunteers, school authorities, and the collaborating organization. The beneficiaries appreciated the initiative and participated actively throughout the programme, making the camp a meaningful community outreach and experiential learning activity.
