Free Health Check-up Camp Allied Health Sciences 04.07.2026
The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), organized a School Outreach Health Camp aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and creating health awareness among school students. The initiative, aligned with SDG Goal 3 (Good Health & Well-being) and SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education), focused on providing basic health screening, health education, and early identification of common health concerns among children and adolescents. The programme emphasized healthy lifestyle practices, disease prevention, personal hygiene, nutrition, and posture, while also providing Allied Health Sciences students with valuable hands-on exposure to community healthcare under faculty supervision.
The outreach camp commenced with participant registration and demographic data collection, followed by systematic health screening conducted by faculty members and students of the Department of Allied Health Sciences. The activities included health education and awareness sessions, general health assessments involving measurement of height, weight, BMI, pulse rate, blood pressure, and other basic vital parameters. Physiotherapy assessment was also carried out through posture evaluation, musculoskeletal screening, and ergonomic advice. Students requiring further medical evaluation were referred to appropriate healthcare facilities. The camp was conducted efficiently with active participation from faculty members, student volunteers, school authorities, and the collaborating organization. The beneficiaries appreciated the initiative and participated actively throughout the programme, making it a meaningful community outreach and experiential learning activity.
