Free Health camp and Health Awareness

Free Health camp and Health Awareness Allied Health Sciences The Indian Red Cross Society 24.06.2026

The free health camp was organized to assess the basic health parameters of school students, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, haemoglobin levels, blood grouping, grip strength, and basic cognitive functions. The programme also aimed to promote preventive healthcare awareness by educating students about regular health check-ups, balanced nutrition, healthy lifestyle practices, and personal hygiene. In addition, the initiative provided students with valuable community-based experiential learning opportunities through supervised participation in health screening, cognitive assessment, and health awareness activities.

A total of 40 school students underwent comprehensive health screening and received appropriate health guidance based on the findings. The programme enhanced awareness regarding preventive healthcare, physical and cognitive well-being, nutrition, and personal hygiene. The participating students also gained hands-on experience in measuring vital signs, conducting haemoglobin estimation and blood grouping, performing basic cognitive assessments, and delivering health education, thereby strengthening their practical, communication, and community outreach skills.
