Free Eye Screening Camp  Allied Health Sciences  Billion Hearts Beating Apollo Foundations & IRCS 29-09-2026

On 29 September 2026, the Department of Allied Health Sciences organized a Free Eye Screening Camp at Krishnapur Christian Para in collaboration with Billion Hearts Beating and Apollo Foundations & IRCS, starting from 10:00 AM onwards. The camp was attended by students of Optometry and Bachelor of Physician Assistant (BPA), who actively participated in providing community-based eye screening and healthcare services under professional supervision. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about eye health, encourage early identification of vision-related concerns, and extend accessible preventive healthcare services to the community. The programme also provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to community healthcare practices, strengthening their clinical skills and sense of social responsibility. The initiative contributes to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4 – Quality Education, reflecting the commitment of Allied Health Sciences towards healthcare accessibility, experiential learning, and community service.
