Free eye screening and Mental Health Awareness camp Allied Health Sciences 29.06.2026
The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), organised a school outreach health camp aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and health awareness among school students. The initiative focused on basic vision screening, early identification of common vision-related concerns, and awareness of healthy lifestyle practices and mental well-being.
The camp commenced with participant registration and demographic data collection, followed by systematic health screening conducted by faculty members and student volunteers from the Department of Allied Health Sciences and Mononiketan. The activities included eye screening and vision assessment, along with mental health awareness and counselling.
The initiative provided students with an opportunity to receive basic health screening and guidance while encouraging them to adopt healthy practices and seek timely medical evaluation whenever required. It also offered Allied Health Sciences students valuable hands-on exposure to community healthcare practices under faculty supervision.
The camp was conducted successfully with the active participation of faculty members, student volunteers, school authorities, and collaborating organisations. The beneficiaries appreciated the initiative and participated enthusiastically throughout the programme, contributing to its overall success.
