First Aid Core Awareness

First Aid Core Awareness Institute of Nursing Indian Red Cross Society 17-06-2026

The Institute of Nursing, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, organized the “First Aid Core Awareness” programme on 17th June 2026 for skill development students. The programme aimed to introduce participants to the fundamental principles of first aid and safety awareness, enabling them to recognize, assess, and respond appropriately to common medical emergencies in domestic and workplace settings. The session included an introductory briefing, step-by-step demonstrations, hands-on practice, and interactive discussions covering environmental safety, basic management of minor burns, cuts, and animal bites, as well as awareness regarding common myths and unsafe first-aid practices.

The programme successfully enhanced participants’ awareness and confidence in responding to everyday emergencies through simple and practical first-aid measures. It encouraged a calm, systematic approach to emergency situations while emphasizing the importance of seeking professional medical assistance after providing initial care. The initiative aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by promoting health and safety awareness, and SDG 4: Quality Education through accessible, practical, and experiential skill development.
