The Department of Management, in collaboration with HDFC Bank, successfully organized a One-Week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Digital Finance, Financial Analytics, RegTech and Emerging Financial Technologies in a hybrid mode from 22nd to 30th June 2026. The offline sessions were held at the HDFC Bank Dakbungalow More Branch Conference Room, Barasat, from 22nd to 25th June, followed by online sessions on 29th and 30th June 2026. Coordinated by Mr. Rupam Dhani, with support from Ms. Baisakhi Dasgupta, the programme aimed to strengthen faculty members’ understanding of emerging financial technologies and their applications in management education.
The FDP featured expert-led sessions on digital banking, FinTech innovations, financial analytics, RegTech, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, investment management, API banking, taxation, derivatives, and risk management. Participants also engaged in practical learning through Python-based financial analysis, portfolio optimization using Excel, live market analysis with TradingView, GST filing simulations, option pricing models, and cryptocurrency demonstrations, enabling them to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world financial practices.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members of Brainware University and provided valuable exposure to the latest advancements in the financial services sector. By combining academic learning with industry-oriented applications, the FDP enhanced participants’ professional competencies, teaching effectiveness, and research capabilities. The initiative also strengthened academia-industry collaboration and reaffirmed the Department of Management’s commitment to promoting continuous professional development and excellence in finance and management education.
