Digital Dojo-Manga art Session Multimedia 10.08.2026
The Department of Multimedia, Brainware University organised a two-day industry-oriented workshop, “Digital Dojo – Manga Art Session,” on 10 August 2026 for the students of the 3rd Semester B.Sc. Animation & Multimedia programme. Conducted by industry expert Mr. Sourav Dalui, the workshop provided students with an engaging platform to explore the creative and technical aspects of Manga art and digital illustration. The sessions focused on character development, facial expressions, anatomy, poses, line work, composition, stylisation, and visual storytelling. Through interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and practical guidance, students were introduced to professional approaches to developing Manga artwork, from initial sketches to refined digital illustrations.
The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practices by providing students with industry-oriented insights into digital illustration and contemporary Manga art. Students actively participated in the sessions, interacted with the resource person, and clarified their queries related to illustration techniques and professional workflows. The practical demonstrations encouraged them to experiment with their own creative ideas and apply the techniques discussed during the workshop. With the active participation of 58 students, the programme successfully created an environment for artistic exploration, skill development, and professional learning. The session enriched students’ understanding of digital art practices while inspiring them to explore Manga illustration and digital media as potential creative and professional avenues.
