Computational biology & in silico drug design: An insight into moleculardocking and molecular dynamics Pharmaceutical Technology 29-09-2026 to 1-10-2026

CAPTION: Before a drug reaches the lab, can technology help us discover its potential? The answer lies in silico.

Exploring how computational science is reshaping modern drug discovery, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Brainware University, organised an insightful session on “Computational Biology & In Silico Drug Design: An Insight into Molecular Docking and Molecular Dynamics.”

The session brought together pharmaceutical science, computational biology and real-world research through the expertise of Dr. Subhalakshmi Ghosh, Founder and Director, Subhami Biopharma (OPC) Ltd., Kolkata Biotech Park, and Mr. Soham Ray, Senior Research Associate, Subhami Biopharma (OPC) Ltd.

The experts introduced students to the fascinating world of molecular docking and molecular dynamics, offering insights into how computational approaches can help researchers study molecular interactions, analyse potential drug candidates and make drug discovery more informed and efficient.

For students of Pharmaceutical Technology, the session was an opportunity to look beyond conventional laboratory approaches and understand how computational tools are becoming powerful partners in pharmaceutical research and innovation.

From molecules to models, simulations to scientific possibilities, the session opened a window into a future where technology and pharmaceutical science work together to accelerate discovery.

Because tomorrow’s medicines may begin with a molecule on a screen—and an idea ready to be explored.
