Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): A life saving awareness camp Pharmaceutical Technology Indian Red Cross Society 18-08-2026
The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Brainware University, in association with the Red Cross, organised a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Awareness Programme to educate students about the importance of immediate action during cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies. The programme focused on early recognition of emergencies, seeking professional medical assistance, and understanding the basic principles and steps of CPR. An interactive awareness session was followed by a practical demonstration using a CPR mannequin, where students learned the correct technique for chest compressions and basic resuscitation procedures and participated in supervised hands-on practice. A question-and-answer session further helped clarify doubts and reinforce their understanding of emergency response and first-aid practices. The initiative enhanced students’ awareness, confidence, and preparedness to respond responsibly during medical emergencies while encouraging them to share basic lifesaving knowledge with their families and the wider community.
